Approx 8 years old, Jesse is a handsome and sweet senior guy with a heart of gold! He is a favorite among the staff and volunteers. He seems to like everyone - although shy at first - and seems fine with other dogs. He loves being with people and just wants to be loved. We have found that he does not do well with small children - they are too active for him and make him too nervous. We, therefore, recommend a home with adults or older children. Jesse does get nervous wth loud noises, cars, sudden movements. With love, patience and understanding - he will outgrow these fears and become more comfortable and feel more safe and secure. {UPDATE 10/28: It has been recommended that some training and socialization will help Jesse be less attached to one special person and to feel more comfortable and safe with people.} Jesse likes to go for walks and walks well on the leash. We were also told that there may be house-breaking involved, but he is learning quickly. A fenced yard would be ideal.
